SAEILO CNC MACH 3A

Saeilo Mach 3A Horizontal Machining Center with 2 pallet changer.
The MACH CELL horizontal machining system was developed for medium to high manufacturing processes that require high-speed throughput and reduced work setup and changeovers. The system is a combination of three horizontal machining centers and a central four-pallet rotary transfer unit. Features include the management of three machining systems in a single-stream process and pallet load capacity of 550 lb for each station.
The MACH CELL horizontal machining system provides a solution for medium to high-volume production applications where quick work setups and changeovers as well as high-speed throughput are essential requirements.
The MACH CELL integrates three horizontal machining centers and a central four-pallet rotary transfer unit. Continuous production is achieved by work moving sequentially from a single load/unload station through the three machining stations, with synchronized machining cycles and in-process loading and unloading. The system enables one operator to manage the productivity of three machining systems within a single-stream process.
Machining stations are the MACH 3A, column-traverse HMC's, with 300 mm pallets and work ranges of 15.75[inches] (x), 13.78[inches] (Y) and 15.75[inches] (Z). The 40-taper spindles are powered by 10 hp, 6,000 rpm drives with 2.5 second acceleration/deceleration over the full speed range. Carousel-type automatic tool changers utilize 20 CAT-40 tools (for a system total of 60 tools), with 2.5 second tool exchange. Positioning speed on all axes is 945 ipm with [+ or -]0.0002[inches] accuracy and [+ or -]0.00012[inches] repeatability. Each station is run by its own Fanuc 0-MC control with total system integration managed through an Allen-Bradley SLC-500 controller.
Pallet load capacity at each station is 550 lbs, supporting maximum work dimensions of 30[inches] diameter by 18[inches] high. The four-pallet rotary transfer unit is powered by an AC digital servo with hydraulically actuated lift and lock mechanisms and clamp-to-clamp transfer time of 9 seconds. Part indexing at each station in 1-degree increments provides machining access to multiple part surfaces in single setups. |
